Personal Views Apart from comments by readers (see below), the views expressed here are the personal views of Gavin Knight. You should not attribute them to other persons and/or organisations unless an article itself explicitly states that is appropriate.

Links & Attribution We will give attribution when we knowingly reference someone else's content. The attribution will usually include a link to the quoted content and/or a more generic link to the author/s if we cannot find the content itself online.

Disclosures We will declare conflicts of interest that we are aware of. Declaration will either be by way of a specific disclosure in the article itself, or by way of an ongoing general disclosure on our About page.

Updates Sometimes, to provide further clarity, we will edit an article after it has been published. If the edit is non-trivial we will make it clear how it has been updated.

Privacy When reading or commenting you should not assume your identity is anonymous - even if you do not explicitly expose your identity. We reserve the right to disclose what we know about you. Generally we will only do so when compelled to do so by a legal process. We use various tools to track and understand our audience but usually we will only use the collated audience data in aggregate - eg looking for trends (which we occasionally publish).

Comments We invite and welcome comments. We would prefer you comment in your own name, but you can comment under a pseudonym or anonymously if you prefer. We ask that you follow similar policies in your comment as we do in the articles themselves - eg links, attribution, disclosures, etc. As the purpose of having comments is to facilitate a conversation we will often respond to comments publicly - either by way of a further comment on that post, or by way of a new post if we think that will be more useful to our wider audience. We might also respond to comments privately if that is more appropriate. We will delete comments that we judge to be inappropriate for any reason (in our sole discretion). You retain ownership of your comments - we do not own them, and we expressly disclaim any and all liability that may result from them. By commenting on our site, you agree that you retain all ownership rights in what you post here and that you will relieve us from any and all liability that may result from those postings. You grant us a license to post your comments. This license is worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, and royalty-free. You grant us the right to store, use, transmit, display, publish, reproduce, and distribute your comments in conjunction with this site.
